Smt. Vaikom B. Rajammal, blessed with the grace of Sri Tirunakkara Mahadeva is a resident of Kottayam and is staying very near to the Tirunakkara Mahadeva Temple . Her husband Sri. V.K. Mani Iyer, is a retd. Headmaster from Govt. Higher Secondary School Kottayam. She has two daughters. Eldest daughter Premalatha is settled in Chennai. Smt. Rajammal's younger daughter, Dr.M.Priya, following her mother's path is a Ph. D. in music from Calicut University.

She is also a rank holder in MA music. She secured first prizes in various school & college youth festivals in carnatic music. She is now staying in Bahrain with her husband and daughter. Like her mother, Smt. M.Priya is also a 'B' High grade artist in carnatic music, AIR Thiruvananthapuram. She also got scholarships from Human Resources dept. of culture, Govt. of India.
