Mathangi satyamoorthy, the veteran musician is a strict follower of the traditional style of Carnatic music. She had her training in carnatic music under Sri K.S. Subramoniam of the Chembai family of Tiruvanaicoil for long 10 years.

She has also performed at almost all the major temples in the states of Kerala and Tamil Nadu.mathangi satyamoorthy has also held concerts for All India Radio, Doordarshan, Asianet, Surya TV and Kairali T.V. as well as at coveted programmmes held at Thiruvananthapuram.

The main feature of mathangi satyamoorthy's concerts is that she strictly follows the traditional style of carnatic music, at the same time she is an innovator as well. The most important factor that anyone would notice in her concert is her mastery over laya which is very much evident in her swara prastharas.
