Gurusri Garimella Balakrishna Prasad
G. Balakrishna Prasad is a Special Grade Vocal Artiste at Annamacharya Project of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) for over 28 years was born on 9th Nov 1948. He is a renowned in singer India and abroad of Annamacharya Sankeerthanas with over 4000 concerts to his credit and a Vaggeyakara in his own right having composed more than 400 keertanas

Technical Qualification:
Diploma in Vocal music with Honours division from Education Department of Andhra Pradesh in 1978.
All India Radio vocal artist in Carnatic Classical Vocal with B-High grade since 1990.
All India Radio artist in Light Music with B-High grade since 1977.


Experience:
40 yrs of experience in presenting Classical (vocal) as well as Light Music (vocal) stage programmes. So far presented more than 4000 concerts in India and USA .

More than 35 yrs of experience in composing music to the lyrics of great poets and also to his own lyrics.

Working in Annamacharya Project of TTD as Special Grade Vocal Artiste since 1978. (Presenting vocal concerts and composing music to Annamacharya Songs.)

"Sri Anjaneya Kriti Mani Mala" – First of its kind in the filed of Carnatic classical music. 21 classical keertanas on Lord Anjaneya composed (lyric & music) by himself has been published along with musical notation with financial aid of TTD

TTD has published 8 books covering about 150 Annamacharya sankeertanas, along with musical notation, which are set to tune by him.

"Krishna Ravali" – light music songs composed by him has been published in two volumes comprising of about 80 songs. Volume I has been approved by Akasavani, Hyderabad in 1975

So far more than 500 songs are recorded and released in LPs, cassettes and CDs through many popular audio companies such as HMV, Sangeetha, Aditya, T-Series etc and also through Tirumala Tirupati Devatsthanams.

Prasaara Bharati has produced an exclusive audio recording programme"Annamayya Sankeerthana Bharati" of Annamacharya Songs for achieves (South) in 2006.

Also recorded nearly 30 songs of Annamacharya for Software Programme of Prasara Bharathi

Recorded his own classical krithis on Lord Sri Anjaneya for Prasara Bharathi's Special Software Programme in the year 2004

Composed music and sung "Annamayya Sankeerthana Sanjeevani" an exclusive programme comprising songs of Annamacharya recorded for SVASA, California , USA in the year 2006.

Rendered Annamacharya songs for special CD "Flowers At His Feet" of Pappus Acadamic Cultural Trust, run by Dr. Pappu Venugopala Rao (Chennai)
